Data Scientist

iyzico is an innovative and fast-growing fintech company in Turkey. With novel products like iyzilink, iyziup, and iyzibazaar, we would like to make selling and purchasing online a breeze for everyone.

iyzico’s products have been utilized by ten-thousands of merchants every day. Based on such data, we are looking for talented data scientists to join our Payment Intelligence team to build data-driven products and derive insights.

In our team, you will:

• Work closely with all other iyzico teams to identify problems, bottlenecks, and improvement areas.
• Build products that make use of AI, ML, and statistical techniques from basic financial forecasting to natural language generation.
• Drive the evolution of iyzico data infrastructure in all areas such as data collection points, data warehousing, and visualization.

We expect you to have:

• Hands-on experience with scientific computing languages and frameworks such as R (e.g., tidyr, shiny), Python (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas), or Scala (e.g., Spark).
• Knowledge of developing data processing workflows, such as relational data manipulation, data scraping, and/or ETL jobs of different scales.
• Scientific approach for experimentation and rapid prototyping.
• Multi-disciplinary and cooperative ability to solve problems in diverse domains including finance, marketing, sales, product development, user experience, and security.
• The ability to present ideas, insights, and solutions in a clear way.

Nice to haves:

• Prior experience in fintech domain
• M.S. or PhD in Math, Stats, or an analytics-oriented multidisciplinary domain.
